Kudos to Doo for putting it on snow. There will be more models with it next season.
Time to see what Yamaha has for us. Hopefully we get more than an hour to order this season.

They're injecting a blend of ethanol and water to cool the cylinders and does not include an air to air intercooler.
The ethanol water blend is going to be proprietary to Ski-Doo dealers. Another joke. Cha-ching $$$
And if you run out of the blend you're guaranteed to make 165 horsepower.....lol.
I can't take anymore of it. Hahaha.

I feel like setting up my winder to run on 87 all the time. Just to rub it in.
With a three inch quiet exhaust and high flow intake what do you think ....240-250 reliably?

It has the Mach Z debacle written all over it. Nothing wrong with the Mach for what it is, it just isn't what they claimed it to be much like this being a 'competition' model.
Competition with what, a 23 850 XRS maybe..

Ski-Doo's marketing dept is the best in the business. But they crossed the line too many times for me.It has the Mach Z debacle written all over it. Nothing wrong with the Mach for what it is, it just isn't what they claimed it to be much like this being a 'competition' model.

Over promise and under delivery should be their company motto.
I'm waiting for them to explain how it barely sips oil & doesn't need fuel.
Like you, I'm still drawn in, to a certain extent.

The important part is that the water injection doesn't work unless you are WFO for 12 seconds or whatever it is and it is really there to just keep the engine from going all three mile island on you. The fact that it doesn't add any horsepower and as soon as you run out of safety juice it reverts back to being a normal 850 is well.. not competitive. I am far more interested in what Poo does with the S4, not that I think it would make me consider it but still its more interesting than a low boost flatland 2 stroke.

After all these years and the only engine package that delivers over 200HP stock without a whole bunch of fuss is the Yamaha 998.

Well I guess the truth hurts
Haha
Anyway the sled will be fast like the boost
The 850 doo motor is pretty decent
More competition makes it good for us all
