Anybody 9run a ZR 9? What were the results? I ran on 03 and he couldn't touch me. Bottom, top, mid, roll ons, and hole shots were pretty close. He said he must be haveing problems because he has run other RX's with very little problems.
I am running the ECP kit and clutching to match.

Ive run a ZR9 a few times - I have ECP as well. It takes me off the line and mid by a length or two then at the top we are even or I catch back up slowly. I am 30 lbs heavier.

I had a 03 ZR9 for two years and my buddy had an 03 RX-1 for those same two years. We never did a side by side drag from start but did some rolling starts and my 9 would always get out front and stay there, but I did have some minor mods (clutch, airbox, jetting & gearing).
We both weighed about the same, within 15lbs.

Ive got two buddys with zr 900,s I think there both 03,s both were originally zr800 fuelies then converted to 900,s ,900 cylinders with 800 heads remachined to 900 specs. One of them is ported turboed crank has d&d y pipe and both of them run zr 800 pipe (makes more power than the 900 pipe}.On fairly good hardpacked snow were pretty even for about 30 feet then I pull 3 to 4 sleds on them, the ported one goes by me about 80 mph and the other one usually doesnt catch me unless we run a long ways.
Late last year I ran a stock 05 zr 900 carb on the lake we were doing about 60 mph roll ons we were pretty close up to 95 100 then id creep away.On gps my sled was going 109 05 zr 900 was 105 on my gps and ported zr 900 was 108 gps for most of the day,he kept changing clutching untill he beat my 109 ,he got 110.BY the way my sled was a 121" last year.

I,ve run one w/ my srx and can take it and my wife's 05 RX-1 can beat me. Although he [my nephew w/the 900] has me by about 130 lbs. When we switch I can get by my srx w/ the 900. I need someone about my size to run his 900 agsinst me. I think the cat is an 03.

I ran an 05 ZR 900 with my 05 and it was a pretty good race. He was stock and well set up...I am stock as well. We were pretty even most of the way but I was out pulling him just a tad through the bottom end and mid range. On the top end I was gone, he couldn't touch me there.

I ran a 05 Machz in Canada last weekend. We were on a lake. His sled is studded. Mine is bone stock with 2300mi. We started at about 60. When I saw 110 on my speedo I started to pull away. He backed off, I let off at 115. He said his was still in the breakin cycle with 25 hrs on the sled.

Black 1000, Be sure to tell your friend to only use ski-doo oil. there is a lot of warnings in the ski-doo manual about other oil. when i was in quebec last weekend I saw 2 other machz's with trouble. one had flames coming out of the exhaust. The other one was having fuel consumption issues. The guy I was riding with would use about 3-4 liters more than me at each gas stop
