Anybody try the Biteharder carbide sharpener? Is it worth the investment? They say that once you've sharpened the carbide to keep re-sharpening them every so often to keep them sharp and to extend their life and that of the tool.

Sounds promising. Any comments?

I 'impulse' bought one at the Snowmobile show in Toronto.

It works really well. I run two 6" carbides with 60 degree points on my Split Rails and the inner carbide seems to bear most of the pressure and gets knubbed down pretty quick in the season.

This year I have been able to keep the points up. It does a good job sharpening them up. If its really rounded down, you have to spend some time, but you'll get there.

Yep it works well....used it on cordless drill, but will try it spinning it faster with a dremel next time.

Hey Dan, Good to see you on here. How,s that new doo running ? Any high speed radar runs, with those sharp carbides ? I,m thinking of getting one of those sharpeners as well. Good to here they work well from a guy whose opinion I trust. Cheers.

Get the pro version....works great! Sharp carbides all the time and extends the life of them. Works best on a high speed drill.

The article says that it works best on high speed (10,00 rpm) pneumatic grinders. What I couldn't find is if it would work with Doolies but I'm assuming not?
