I've been on the trails around Gaylord, Frederick, Mio, Luzerne, Grayling, but not all the way up to Mackinaw. What kind of question do you have?

my question is , iv been looking at map and was wondering if a day trip from mio to gaylord to maciknaw briuge and back is to much for 1 day, and how many sled miles that is? we r going for 3 days and staying in mio just want to plan things out! and where easist fuel stations r, or any other suggestions u have, we want to put miles on more that a bunch of stop n go! thanks

Well, I never did like the trails from Mio to Grayling. But once you are there it is a long, straight shot to Mackinaw. 10, maybe 12 hour day, I would imagine, with stops and not going crazy on the trails. 6 hours up and 6 back.

Mio generally has good trail conditions, but the trails around that area I find aren't labeled very well and can be a bit twisty and narrow at times. That's all. It should be a good ride for you. The state forest roads can be fun if you have a good map. I'm sure you'll have a great time on your trip!

You should be fine. Mio has gas. Luzerne has gas. There are stations out towards Glennie and Oscoda.
Of course anywhere around Grayling / Gaylord and there on up will have plenty of fuel stations.
