Hey all...I was noticing that there have been a few people on here (myself included) who were asking about the nosecone bag and looking for instructions on how to install one so I decided to post an installation thread.
Note: be sure to read the instructions carefully!

Thanks for posting this up YamahaMainer, I haven't installed mine yet but will get around to it now, now that I have seen exactly what to do!

Mount the regulator behind that plastic cover for protection, it is really exposed up front. Use rivnuts to attach the mount for that and the brains for the remote starter.

Rotated regulator as per instructions prior to installing storage bag. Black plastic cover removed to see how much room there is in there for potential relocation of regulator.
I'm wondering, is there a reason why the regulator couldn't be located behing this bulkhead? It could easily be flipped over front to back and bolted there. Would there be an issue with heat inside this area? It would certainly free up some space. Any thoughts?

By mounting the regulator inside the cast bulkhead it is more exposed to air for cooling than if covered by the bag. Up front in the stock location it could be the first part of the snowmobile to hit a stump.

Maybr b/c a boat load of snow and ice finds it way down in there from time to time. That's my guess. Does not regulator maybe not like water?

Yeah, I agree that the placement of the regulator is very odd. What's more odd is the way they have you tilt it down and rework the grounding cable. It looked very weird when it was done. However, with the edge of the regulator holding the bag up (along with the velcro straps) I don't believe the cable is in much danger (knocks on wood).
