For you people that have had a chance to ride, I haven't heard much on how these new sleds handle through the turns as far as tracking, ski lift and body roll if any.

Have SLP SLT skis on my 04 Warrior and it made a world of difference, was contemplating going to the SLP skis on the Apex GT.

Your replies would be appreciated.

I rode my Attak for a few miles yesterday. Not enough to tell anything, but first impresssion is of heavier steering than 04 warrior. I usually go with aftermarket skis and runners matched to my riding style and preference. Last year ran USI SPX and VX. Both we're big improvement over stock. If this tendency to heavier steering is true, you'll have to be careful not to go to arressive with keel depth and runner selection. I have a set of Slydog skis to try on mine once we get some real snow to work with. I've also had good luck with SLP and Simmons. Never trieds CA always felt they were too agressive for me. Studdog

Hi guys, yes my attak does push alot more than the set up one i tried last april,so we all know how important set up is right, well stock pos carbides are not working anymore so i adjusted the transfer out,or almost all out,and it now rails around very hard surface to the point of lifting a ski just a little, now my buds apexgt does hook better in the stock setting, the way it came from yammi, and it does lift a ski alot more than the attak does,so back to set up,studog i am very interested in the skydog ski,but also would like some advice on them and what carbide to use,now i am not just asking for carbide length, but what bar type as well. Like shaper bar, bergstrom bars, woodys you know what i mean,as far as the length most likely 8" and i may not even stud this beast, but than again i might,my mind is saying no,but my instint is telling me yes for my hard charging driving habits, plus may be a little faster on top if you can believe that i cant quite, reason i say this is we were spinning so hard yesterday on very hard packed roads, was getting some huge speedo readings, but not big gps readings speedo 128 gps 109 whats up with this?? Oh well i will find out if its studs or not, bottom line is these sleds are just awsome, power everywhere and good gas milage heck running average 80+ speedo thru 10" of loose snow to mixed hard pack by truck tires we still got 14 mpg plus.. ;)!

I would start with some 8 inch carbides and studs and suspension before going with some skis (not that a set of skis isnt a good idea)

Every mag ive ever read said they handled on rails and Everyone from the demo rides concure with this sooo i dont think handling is going to be a problem!

How about waiting till theres a base of snow before we go making assumptions? I dont know many sleds that handle great on november snow with warm ground under it. I cant count the number of people Ive ridden with over the years in early season snow, who complain that thier sleds dont handle good.

i rode 25 miles yesterday on my rtx.
144 studs and woodys 6inch dual runner carbides.
there was not a deep solid base to run on but for what we had, i felt that the handeling was very good but it is still a little early to know exactly how this thing will bee on the trails.
tracking was good. no darting at all.
ski lift on take off is unbelievable. this thing will pull the front skis up all day long. ski lift in corners was minimal. really did not notice any
