Which model gps is that ? It seems to fit perfectly on the dash caddy. That would be mine with the Cat Mid-LXR windshield.

Jefro, Yours is the XT not the tread? and the mount that comes standard with GPS is all you used there? Just double checking, I have the caddy on the way and looking at the different GPS options I am pretty sure I still have a lm50 out in the garage but haven't used it in years since I had the NS1 gauge on the past sled. I would get anout too but no one can confirm if it works with all the options on the new Riot9000It's the Garmin Zumo XT. The factory mount works fine.

Yes, it's the Zumo XT which is the same size as the Tread (5.5" screen). And I just used the Garmin mount it came with and drilled the door.Jefro, Yours is the XT not the tread? and the mount that comes standard with GPS is all you used there? Is there enough room to open the storage box with the gps installed? Looks like a tight fit. I didn't want to drop $160 for this but if I'm already going to spend something for a gps mount, I like the idea of some storage. I currently have the little windshield bag but it's tiny.

I never even new the dash caddy existed! I have installed dozens of GPS units on sleds for my sled group. And always loved the SkiDoo glove box extension for that GPS mount purpose. The thing they do right as well, is put the 12v socket inside that box. But if this dash caddy gives a decent amount of storage and place for GPS mount, I am all about getting rid of the windshield bag.
Right now the Garmin GPS is mounted on the handlebar pad. It's not ideal, as you have to look down so far to use it, but it has worked. I would rather have it up on the dash, but didn't want to lose functionality of the bag. But this is a great option.
Watch for a nice windshield bag to go up for sale soon!

Plus there's also the option of putting a vent in the base to allow engine heat to warm the contents:
