What an awful kick in the xxx's ! It appears to me that Textron is preparing for a fire sale or liquidating the company. Looks like we will all be stockpiling parts for our Tcats and Winders.

Yeah manufacturers are doing an awesome job at pricing 99% of people out of buying a sled or an ORV...... 20k for a sled that you can use 3 months out of the year? 30k for a SxS? ...... 10k for an ATV?........ Quick smoking crack and start adjusting your pricing outside of insanity and your sales numbers will do alot better

The whiplash from COVID's effect on inflation and supply chain was not sustainable. High pricing and low demand is not a good formula for success. Cat made a big investment in tooling and engines to create the Catalyst line while Yamaha bailed out. Any company needs a reasonable ROI on their investment. Textron is taking a 200-million-dollar cash payout to bail out Cats operational losses. Textron is also taking an inventory evaluation charge of 30 - 40 million. The purpose of doing that is to prepare the company to be sold or liquidated. Textron should have never bought Acat. They are an aviation and industrial defense contractor. I never understood why they bought Cat in the first place. Hopefully there is a company that is in the powersports business long term and has an affinity for the Cat brand will buy the company and get it rolling before the dealer network bails out. Kawasaki or Suzuki would be a good fit.
