Ok guys... it's about that time of the year...
My home track is starting it's regular program in mid April and I'm already making preparations on the sled to make it Asphalt Ready...
I know that NOSPRO will most likely be on the tar...
I'll be running a limited schedule this year, but still want to get out as much as I can.

Who else is going to be out there having fun running the TY Sleds this year in the 1/4mi or 1/8mi this summer?

Man just got mine running on snow a month or so ago, still tweaking and still have 2 feet of snow in my front yard. Ran last year and plan to run again this year. Our local track is getting a makeover and word is they won't be starting until June maybe so might have to go down to Moorhead for the early runs. Maybe meet up with Nos-Pro sometime this summer somewhere, and plan to check out Brainerd for the Nationals, just spectating. Good luck.

hlmrx1,
The snow around here is going fast… So, it’s time to switch the sled over to the tar.
If you can hook up with Terry, see if you can follow him out to the race in Syracuse, NY. That's Mike Hills race (PRO SLED SHOOTOUT) the weekend of July 8th-->July 10th. I hope he plans on coming out to the event again...

Planning on running the asphalt with my supercharged 05 RX-1 at our local track and hitting a few other races like the Mike Hills event in NY July 8-10, Milan MI on June 4th, and the Amsnow shoot out hopefully as well!

Hlmrx1, let me know if you go to Moorehead. The way it sounds our local track will have limited races this year and I'll be looking to go to a few other places.

Wow, Buster I don't know about Syracuse, that's a long way from home and I don't have any sponsors (yet). I was thinking more of Minnessota or something within a days ride. It would be nice though. Will more than likely be at the AMsnow Shootout to defend my 04 win though.

Srxspec, for sure we'll be doing Moorehead this summer, Gimli may not be ready until July or so, so we may be down there in June. Are you still looking to get that Supercharded RX1 of yours out for a ride on snow, we still have 2 feet at least and the trails are still being groomed. Got my turbocharge 03 running pretty good, just need to get the clutching dialed in now and the hookup. Come on up for a ride!!!!! Where is your track btw? Maybe I'll try and get to that one for a weekend if not too far.

hlmrx1, going to go riding this weekend. it looks like there could be 6'' of snow in northern SD if the weather hits as they say. Otherwise we'll drive into ND until there's adequate snow.

My local track is in Marion SD (Thundervalley Dragway). The website is currently down. From the border it's about 7 hrs straight south on I-29 to Sioux Falls and then about a 1/2 hour west yet.

One more trip on the 03 and 05 for snowmobiling, then it's rip down time!

I definetly have to go to Syracuse again, cause I did very well there last year. If it wasn't for my redlight, I think I would have had a great big chance on winning that baby!

Trying a different skid and narrow track this year, so times should be down right a way.

:yam:

;)!

Checked it out and it looks like 900 kms from my place or 9 hours or so, I'm a little under 2 hours from the border. We'll see what happens, might make it down there although, Moorehead and Brainerd are a lot closer, maybe we'll have to meet there. I know a couple of the guys running at Moorehead already.
If you run out of snow, keep coming north!!!!

Terry, you going to setup the 03? After this weekend it'll be time to start stripping sled down here as well. Any interest in going to Milan MI on June 4th? Supposed to be a quick 16 & bracket race there that weekend.

Anyone racing in NY regularly? I'm very interested in starting. I'd like to spend some time in the pits and learn my way around first anyway. So...

Who needs a hand at the track??

monker,
I sent you a PM that I believe answers your question about being in the NY area... As far as help, with any race program that is 'self-sponsored'... I can always use the help... :D

Allen - I wouldn't mind trying it out there also. Let me know dates.
