No problem wayne, just have to wear my gear.
Just found out Rich from "PINKS" will be at Great Lakes Dragaway this Tuesday, and will be shooting a new type of show. I am going to try and make it, even to watch.

Like everyone said Wayne, that 60 foot time is where it all starts. Everything you gain there will double on the big end. If you want your engagement higher you could try the Yamaha P-S-P which is 5 KG more initial load than what you have now (90501-602L3-00), P-G-P which is 10 KG more initial load than what you have (90501-602L9-00), or G-W-G which is 15 KG more initial load than what you have (90501-603L3-00).
I plan on getting out this Saturday for some test and tune action as long as the weather holds out!

Wayne just a suggestion work on your suspension before you raise the engagement once you get your suspension dialed in then raise your engaement and go from there.

I agree, as a poorly prepped track will only make the track spin more with a higher engagement. All of my clutching engagements had to be 3,800 or lower to get any kind of traction off of the starting line. After the 60's get good, then go up to the point were it starts to slip the track.
This weekend is not looking too good for either day, but they will try to run no matter what. We can always talk and I can show you some of my set ups.

Just depending on the clutch setup my engagement is 3800-4000 rpm. On the RX-1 & Vectors setup for asphalt it seems that the engagement can be a little higher because the engine doesn't rev or "flash" as fast as the fuel injected models.
I also prestage by pushing the sled into the beams with my feet. I then bump into the clutch while holding the brake and slowly let go of the brake and put the stage light on. Once the Stage light is on I'm holding the RPM so the clutches are barely engaged while holding the brake at the same time. This allows me to concentrate on the lights and I don't even look down at the tach at all.

Allen great advise. I'll have to try that. So far, all I've done is ride up to the lights, wait for the last yellow and hammer the throttle

Wayne,....your avatar......Guess you took it literally, when they told you to stand on it!
Just kidding....See you tomorrow. Weather looks good for the morning and afternoon, but storms will be moving in at night. I will have a helmet and gloves for you, just need your jeans and shoes above the ankles. If you have your leather jacket...Great, otherwise you can wear mine on a solo pass.

No Kidding,,,,stoutner, how is your transfer set up? I had the same problem last year with my 03 skid and couldn’t figure it out for some time, then I took most of the transfer out of it and there ya go. Here’s a picture of how high it was pulling, then it would fall off abruptly, skis would touch down then go again. I think that part was cause by low fuel all running to the back and the pump would suck air.

Looks good for a photo!
You're probably at the track. See you around 1pm.

Re: Standing up
I had the rod at full transfer. I then moved transfer rod to about half way and tightened my front limiter. Problem is now solved.
P.S. It does make for a cool picture though
