I am looking for some advise as to the best and wisest Accessories to purchase with the $400 from Yamaha. Here is what I was thinking of:
1. Windshield Bag
2. Deluxe Cover
3. Hand Guards
4. Rear View Mirrors
Possibilities:
Skid Plate
Tank Bag
What does everyone think?? Aything else I should be considering?

Optimate battery charger, it plugs into the square plug by the oil tank {by the jumper cable extensions)
Storage bag for under hood in the nose area ($23?)
Even though I have a tank bag, I like the saddle bags a little better.

I'm inclined to suggest a TEK-VEST, that is if you don't already have one.

My top three are:
1- Nose Bag
2- Handle Bar Loop
3- Deep Snow Skis (more floatation)
( I ride mostly off-trail )

Brian, nice job something that can save your life is good. Probably as valuable as a helmet or at least close to it.

Unless you sled on groomed trails exclusively, you may consider the trail ultra plate

for bulkhead protection in case you hit a stump or rock.

I do most of my riding on Groomed Trails. I ride in Eastern PA and the Tug Hill Area in NY. I don't do much in Deep Powder.
I don't think I will need the Handle Bar Loop and the Deep Snow Skis unless I am missing something.
What does the hooked brake lever do for you?

You may not need the hand guards as you have the higher windshield than the RTX,Apex GT has(your sled has better wind protection).Unless thats something you want.
Hooked brake lever is curved down like the bar so when you are leaning you can reach the lever and don`t have to reach up/sit up to use a straight brake lever. You can stay leaning in a corner and just tap the brake with 1 or 2 fingers and still hang on .Avoids the delay as you would have to pull yourself up and brake in a corner when you see an obstacle or another rider coming at you on your side of the trail.

So it sounds like this should be the new list:
1. Front Storage Bag
2. Deluxe Cover
3. Rear View Mirrors
4. Hand Guards
5. Skid Plate
6. Windshield Bag
7. Optimate Charger
Looks like I'll be well over the $400 mark!!

Hey TRGCOBRA,
I see you are from Fogelsville. When we go to the shows in the spring we always try to go to Fogelsville Inn for dinner afterwards. Great food at good prices. Wish we had a place like that here in South Jersey.

My picks are Front storage bag, Spare belt , Set of plugs, Oil and filter for the 500 mile oil change. Low temp grease, and Cover. The optimate charger is very nice . Bought one last year. Also pick up a 4mm ball end T handle allen wrench to put in your tool kit in case you have to get the airbox off, This helps alot.
