Travis, you're the man! Based on what you've shared with me, I'm one of your first customers. As the 998's from early on (2017+) get more miles on them, I have customers asking me to check shim which I have been graciously declining based on having to extract tensioner. Assuming your invention works, it will be a breeze.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I've removed the exhaust cam on a Viper while I locked the intake cam sprocket to the exhaust sprocket with an old hinge. I was able to swing the exhaust sprocket out farm enough that I could remove the exhaust cam so that the tensioner did not extend.

Just wanted to provide an update on this. Did start to finish on valves on a 14 viper last month and the tool/concept worked great. Made a few changes to the tool shape and picked up my latest sample Friday last week. I was able to test it out today, and it's good to go. Going to get a batch made and will be ready to share the details soon!

It would be nice to have a video of the process using the tool for those of us less experienced folk wanting to do it ourselves. Worth thinking about when you release it. Just my $0.02

Also several tips and pointers during the process so one isn’t second guessing themselves the whole time.It would be nice to have a video of the process using the tool for those of us less experienced folk wanting to do it ourselves. Worth thinking about when you release it. Just my $0.02

Just placed the order for one. Not sure when I’ll need to use it based on miles accumulating due to the lack of snow lately. The tools are $30 and now in stock. You can order them on the website.
I did break down and also buy the rollover valve bypass kit.

Order placed; thanks again Travis! Like john928 above, I may not need it for a bit, hopefully more miles this year. But I'd rather be looking at it than looking for it. It'll go in my sled tool bag for when the time comes. I appreciate the videos too; that should help a bunch.
