Bell Crank Bushings and Install Tool

Finished with the a arm bushings a few days ago. I had a issue with one of the axles(self induced).. Called Val and he helped me get it straightened out.. Great products and a great company.. When you call someone answers the phone!! thanks again Val

Same here. Screwed up one of the bellcrank bushings by not being careful enough and he got me straightened out. Should have been here wed (2 days later) but now I’m headed to ups to sort that out since we were home (all day) and not 5 feet from front door and big glass windows when it says it was delivered.

Edit* ups now has it on delivery for today now.

THIS FOR THE A ARM bushings::

Have to be sure you clean out the new bushing and make sure the axle goes in freely. If not sand out the bushing slightly and install axle.. DO NOT force anything into A arm! If it doesn't go in free just clean out the hole some with sand paper or a Dremel barrel. Its not hard just be patient and don't force anything!. Its not the fault of the Mainway product > the issue is the manufacture when the a arm gets welded.. It distorts the hole and it not always true. So just sand down slightly until the high spots are gone and the Axle slides in freely.

Here are some pics of new bell crank bushings installed and where I put the grease fitting.
Since I am doing other work on the sled the steering stem was removed.
its a must to drill out the bracket on the steering stem lower mount to get the bell crank out of chassis.

I know its an old thread, but I have to thank 1nc 2000 for the picture on the grease zerk on the bulkhead. I just installed a zerk on my new 2023 to keep the stock bushing greased up with the added pressure of the EPS working hard. Worked great! Angled the first 1/8" hole slightly upward to hit the gap, went thru alum, drilled larger for the zerk, tapped and fitted a 90 degree zerk. Should keep the stock bushings from wearing for now with grease added.
