Hey guys still tracking down my idle problem and finding a few things wrong but I found this the most interesting. The previous owner "T" into the stock vacuum lines in between each TB then ran that to the BOV.

Question is this better then just tapping into the vacuum lines say on the #1 Throttle body by itself?

What do you recommend as the right way? Signal is not from IC but behind TB's and "T" into its own line so lots of extra T's and hoses.

THx!

BOV line should be after throttle plate. Not sure what all your "T" s are for but my guess is fuel press regulater and boost gauge and or MAP sensor

A cool guy PM'd me this layout from the MCX instructions mine looks darn close.

The MAP, FPR are all off my stocker but in between TB's there is a T that goes to a single line (like the top line in the MCX diagram below) then over to my BOV.

Me cool, thanks buddy. I recognize the fingerprints on the paper LOL. It's always better to T together vacuum signal from all boots, the signal gets more stable and stronger that way with less occilations.

I may have found the problem when replacing the vacumn lines I found this hose on the FPR!! I didn't start it yet but hopefully this is my guy!

That will cause it to idle like crap, for sure. Erratic vacuum signal will make the FPR induce erratic fuel pressure.

Yeah I am hoping so the hole is very tiny the picture is blown way up to show it and I twisted it open. When I first found I wasn't sure it was a hole as it still held air when I pressurized the hose but if i twisted the hose just a little but it would leak.

This would explain a lot with the idle going full rich to full lean, etc. Cant wait to fire it up, hopefully it purrrs!

hahaha that's a biggie LOL
Guess you're allright now :-)

Got the sled fired up and figured I would post in case someone is chasing down a issue in the future. It idles PERFECT and I mean perfect, when you blip the throttle its instant response it has never done this since I got it and I chaulked it up to the sled just being that way with the supercharger, turns out I had the hole in the FPR vacumn line since I have had it.

I'm so pumped this fixed it. The sled now acts like a factory sled with a 100 extra hp just how I was hoping. The MPI controller actually works decent too. I'm sure this was wreaking havoc on my A/F ratios last year so I should be able to fine tune it this year and get the mpg I am hoping for.

This sled with the new body work and this engine is my dream come true, a true custom show sled that performs on the trail like a stocker! Now I just need to scratch it once and get that over with so I can countinue to pound on it LOL

:-) great news kinger :-)
