Has anyone broke a Jack Shaft on a Phazer ? Snapped it off right behind the bearing on the clutch side.

Dang, first time I've seen it on here before. Congratulations! Did it mess up the secondary at all?

I've never heard or seen this before. Shaft showed signs of a crack that had rust in it. No damage happened at low speed , but full throttle after road crossing.

TOO MUCH N.O.S. , that's the first phazer I've seen with a broken cross shaft too!

The shaft broke on the inside of the bearing , so the bearing retainer held the clutch from doing any damage to the plastic or clutch. besides a few nicks.

And being reverse, that means having to replace the reverse gear box, or at the very least, replacing that shaft that goes into the gear box. Either way, it'll be expensive. The shaft new is $230.

Yep, there's a first for everything, like I had an ECU failure.

I had that on my old 1997 Phazer. Bearing sized and shaft failed. Looked exactly the same except for the melted aluminum lit the pan on fire.
