Hi nightrunner, was that you with the Nytro MTX that I ran a couple times this last weekend at Cable? I had the black 12 Apex with the MCX kit. I see you must have run the power cruise and then blew the throttle body's off? Never seen that on low boost, LOL! how were you stacking up against the Cat's? It sounds like a lot of changes for next year, I may have to give it a try. Nice chatting with you guy's!
Kevin

yes that was me! I was on 8-9 psi and on the rev limiter when i ran you . 8psi is how push sets them up.

The next day i threw more helix at it ( no longer hitting the rev limiter) and turned the boost up to 11-11.5 and mixed in some race gas. it seemed to be running with 270-280 hp cats.

nice talking to you as well

JD

Nice! I could have gone to 7.5 but stayed at 5.5 all weekend. After the snow drag's were over I wen't over to that track and raced for a while. Did well with what was there at the time any way. Hope to see ya next year.

sounds like a good time, wish we were closer!

That does sound like a good time. Unfortunately we can only make one trip out your way a year, when we go out to race at Haydays. Looking forward to hearing who did what.

It should be a lot of fun. There is just way too many radar run circle jerks around here . We should have a pretty good turnout

Dam I just sold the Lear jet otherwise I would load up the sled
And fly down for the weekend....it's a great idea!

Good to see some actual trail sleds racing under actual
Trail rules and conditions
The word "trail class" can get very grey sometimes.

Have a blast. Love to try for next year...... Is it always mid march?

PS) 1-Your rules say no mod gas tank which may rule out some front mount turbos
like CPR turbos which come with a mod gas tank.
2-What about after market trail suspension they usually have a slightly higher stance?

Barry

Maybe the gas tank rule should read 7gal min?

thanks, this was brought to my attention by an apex owner, i need to change it! :sled1:

OK so a a question came up during conversation about this shootout, what has to be done for the "out of state" sleds to be able to go on the trail ride?
Is WI like NY where you have to join a club and then register with DMV? Can you post that info.
Thanks

WI. Is easy. Stop at most gas stations in the snowmobile belt and you can purchase a trail sticker for $35. Current valid registration in your home state, and you're good to go!! You can look online at WI. DNR site and locate trail pass vendors as well.

Well it's gonna be a 848 mile 14 hour road trip for us here in WNY. That will be a tough sell to the guys but I'll see what I can fandangle.

Sent you an email I will try to make it. it sounds like a load of fun!!

1 Gallon scares me on the trail ride part I seem to be getting 8 mpg on this pig and ran out of gas on the first TY ride in December at 83 miles on a full tank at 6 #'s of boost now running 9.
