Did anything change with fuel, additives, or components before this last run?

Nothing has changed. It has done this for awhile now. Crappy gas mileage also. Talked with Allen ulmer and he said unhook the ground wire from the fuel mod and try it. But with the weather the way it is not sure if I’m going to get a chance to this year.

For that to be due to raw fuel it would have to be PIG rich. If you have the ability, check your fuel settings. If they appear reasonable, disconnect the controller and see what happens.
Could be a bad injector.
Pull plugs and see if one is REALLY black.

Is it burning any oil? Could be rings not sealing well and spitting burnt oil out the exhaust.

I’m thinking pig rich myself but pulls rpm that’s what throws me off. How would one check the fuel settings? I don’t smell any oil burning but I did have my dealer do an oil change before the season you would of think that they would of seen something. Is there a way to check to see if the rings are seating well?

To check fuel settings you need to have a laptop with usb to plug into pc5 module. And the software which is free from Dynojet.
To check ring/cylinder condition you could do a compression or leakdown test.
Do the easy stuff first.
Check plugs and fuel controller for correct settings and operation.
Are you sure Ulmer didn't say to check the ground wire?
If it is disconnected the pc5 likely won't operate correctly.

Yes Allen said to unhook the ground wire to see if it runs better. Guessing trying to eliminate bad modular.

A friend's 2012 apex smells rich when going through slow woods, but like you said, pulls the rpm wide open. Bone stock except exup wired open. Sounds and looks like fuel to me.

Talked with chris and mark from dynojet. They took over my laptop remotely and checked everything out. My firmware was outdated and they updated it. Chris said try that and if its still to rich i can mess with the settings. I'll let ulmer tell me what to change if its not fixed. Now i need a little snow.

I've worked with Chris and the rest of the dynojet tech staff recently. I found them to be very helpful. And they don't quit until the problem is resolved.
I'd be interested to know what your fuel maps looked like before n after. And what the firmware update did.

You will probably notice that it's appearing only during warming up as it's spitting condensation out the pipes , and where it's running extra rich, until it gets up to temp and the exhaust is dry... My turbo Apex does that, but it's also 11.5:1 to 12:1 AFR rich during that warm up. Once up to temp and the exhaust isn't spitting water, AFR is 13:1 it's clean.

I leaned my maps out at idle so that they weren't so rich at idle speeds on warm up. I like to see around 14:1 at idle once warm. No need for the fuel to be so rich there, (I was seeing mid to low 13's when warm) and 11's when cold.
I also think the condensation you mention is what prematurely killed my O2 sensor.
