Ceramic Coating Header

Noticed the Sidewinder closed tunnel also other than a few louvers.

Very interesting! Anyone have pictures of the Sidewinder closed tunnel and the few louvers?

I was looking at the Sidewinder today and (like cannondale27 said) the hole in the tunnel is closed, but ventilated.

Update. Swaintech White lightning lasted 2 seasons. Its pretty much gone now. Flaked off so dont bother. Will wrap it again.

I've had swaintech do a 2smoke header, can&pipe, plus turbo housings on my diesel... held up great. In fact, I'm going to send out a header and turbo housing for my viper.

The pics you posted when you got it done didn't look right to me- whole header should have looked really white, like next to the flex joint. Was it wet when you took those pics? Is that rust peaking through near the flex joint? I haven't seen anything like that before, with swaintech.

No it wasnt wet. It held up well the first season. Think I should contact them? Have time yet but I understand the temps being dealt with here. But thats why I went with the best. Normal Jet Hot or Ceramic Powdercoating wouldnt have lasted a ride before dulling for sure. Am Kinda pissed it just flaked off.

I would contact them, and I'd offer the pics. To me, that doesn't look right. The temp of a na 4 stroke is not as bad as turbo. And I'd be pretty ticked, too. Call em. I would.

I've taken a steel brush and solvent to that stuff, to scrub it clean from oil stains, and the coating wasn't damaged.

Thanks. I will.

Whats that over your reverse actuator? Ive never seen that. You make it or is it from a different yearyear?
Thats the guard that Sidewinder has on it. I have the actuator off every year so figured the metal would help prevent tabs from cracking and keep heat off it.
