what would cause the chain adjustment to be in all the way ( no more adjustment ) ?
Sent it to the dealer and they said everything was fine wtf ?

Long story short got the sled from the dealer and loaded it on the trailer with their forklift and when I got home I put it in reverse to unload it and it was making a tocking sound coming from under the sled reverse and forward ?
I removed the belt and turned the secondary by hand in forward and reverse and the tocking was still there it seemed to be coming from the chain case so I tried adjusting the chain tension and can go all the way in by hand ?

I sent it back to the dealer and he said there was nothing wrong with it WTF ?

Should I be able to go all the way in just by hand ? Should I open it up myself to have a look ?

Thanks

Snug up bolt , back off 1 turn ( u have a problem)

Stealers!! Charge you top dollar and make you feel dumb! Ya I bailed on dealers awhile ago. Had a buddy drop off his rig to find out what was wrong with it. They called him to ask how to take the clutch off!!! Them 3 days later when he got there to pick it up. It was in two boxes of parts!!! Told him it needed to be rebuilt!!!! $680 dollars they changed him!To take apart his machine that he never asked them to do! Said they needed to find the problem!!Needles to say around here we stay away from the dealer!!!

I brought it back because it is under warranty till February ! Guess I’ll have to open it up myself now !

you should open it there must be a part broken or missing in chain case

Can anyone tell me how many links the chain should have ? ( ltx dx 2018)

So this is what I have found.

Mine when new, had 6 turns or 6 threads showing on the adjustment bolt.

Once the chain stretched, which happens to all, I had only 3 showing. But that is as mentioned by others, turn adjuster in until finger tight, and then back off 1 turn.

For your piece of mind, take it apart and check things out.

Hi dennis, have you installed your TS BOV? Woody sold me one,and stated to remove the bottom banjo bolt and add red thred locker to it,his loosened up,and he lost boost pressure,so that's what I will do to.

Spec is 1 and 1/2 turns. But it really dont matter as long as chain is release once it has been pretensioned.

Yes agree, but I had some internal chain to chaincase rubbing damage occur to mine during the new/initial chain stretch. Had dealer check it out and told him how I had left it after the 500 mile maintenance. I was told to only back it off 1 at most from finger tight.
So that is where I leave it at now.
