I blew a belt the other day, changed it and it seems like my clutch is rubbing on something, kinda sounds like metal rubing on metal, it only does it to about 30 km/h. my sled also engaged at around 5700 to 6000 rpm wich is pretty abnormal.
Help plz? just having problems after problems after problems, just fed up!

check for pieces of belt stuck in your clutches.

Ditto Probably a fiber from the belt jammed in primary. Had that same thing happen to me abot 2 weeks ago on a Vmax.

did you take apart your secondary at all to do adjustments?
maybe forgot to twist the spring before you put on the snap-ring.
something lodged in the primary also can be a problem.

I bet the snap ring fell off and now the secondary inner sheave is hitting shaft bearing.

i brought her in the garage she was about 5 feet away then i opened my clutch cover and the secondary was fully opened and i had to remove the belt for it to close on its own. is this normal?

Because as it shifts it move away.Just take the bolt off and pull secondary to look.

ya its there, no only one shim in the back and no washer. manuel shows 2 shim plus washer
Thats good.Shims behind line clutch up.Put back same.Blown belt could have bent the guard.Look for rub marks on it.
