Anyone had any luck getting rid of the rattle at idle permanently ? Seems to be the stub shaft splines making the noise.

yes ...you can washer or grind the collars and quiet all the pins...but the stub spline is a big part...so are the weights to rollers gap as well..

I JB welded my stub shaft, problem solved, but I seem to have developed an odd vibration and now the sled won't start.
I know you're looking for serious answers, but I've done what sj has, bought Anthony's "quiet kit" (same as what sj is saying) and it's still there. Just an inherent characteristic of the engine and clutch. A sidewinder is a rattle snake after all.

I modify my thinking and put a 'Diesel Fuel Only' sticker on the gas cap!Anyone had any luck getting rid of the rattle at idle permanently ? Seems to be the stub shaft splines making the noise.
Lived with years of vectors doing it....it gets ignored.
