Clutches: what is cool?

Just like F1 tires.
My OEM belt shredded at 2350 miles. Was still a belt but outer material shredded off. I hoped off and grabbed the clutches as soon as I was stopped and had the panel off and could keep my hands on the clutches. Didn't even pull out my temp gun.
Really all we would need is the LED indicator in a really small mount. 3 bills is kinda steep.
2350 shouldn’t you have changed belt around 1800 running a tune belts wears a lot ,just curious. How many miles do you expect on a tuned sled?

I guess so. Or maybe 2300. :dunno::sled2:

Actually just the day before I roasted the 850 Skidoo in our group on Parlin Lake after we swapped for a while and he thought his 850 would hang. Not.

IMO 1500-2000 miles or when the cord starts pulling. Check the belt once you get Into the 1500 area. Check it often but really start watching it more with more miles

Last time out If I remember correctly after 3 back to back to back pulls,
I had 145 belt temp.
Primary temp of 120.
Secondary temp of 90.

I'd consider those really cool and happy.

Thanks. The gage was originally designed for ATV/UTV application. The cable length from gage to sensor needs to much longer for those vehicles compared to our sleds. I had to coil up excess cable inside my hood to make the connection come out where the stock hood connector is. So that's good if they made one for sleds with a shorter cable.

Yeah. I'd be super interested if they made it cheaper with just the LED set similar to the settings you have yours. Don't feel compelled at this point since I haven't had belt problems.

Only 5 left at Amazon earlier today BTW.
