Hurricane 270 race flash with stock muffler flash (600 mile review )

@KnappAttack cat purple has been working good for me the past 2 seasons, not perfect for every riding and clutching setup but has worked damn well for me the past 3500 miles. Great mix for backshift coming in and out of corners hard.

Just a little update.
We are now testing an updated stock muffler 270 flash. After some testing it seems there is more to be had.
Heading out in the morning to test. I will have a real world review when I get back.

I'm guessing they went to the 3 bar map sensor tune with BOV. He said earlier they were only getting 16 lbs boost so pretty sure it was leaking off the stock BOV.

That’s what I was thinking too...but wasn’t sure. Thanks.

I bought both BOV & 3 bar map sensor, only put the BoV in , rpm went up 200 rpm and even had some deto flash for the first time . So just the BoV is a improvement.

Will all 998t benefit from these two upgrades or is it just more so on the 270 and up tunes?

I read somewhere on here the ecu won’t recognize the 3 bar without a tune. So don’t do it unless you are doing a tune

Your tune has to be set to recognize the 3 bar sensor. You will have a boost sensor error otherwise.

Not needed for us guys with older jukebox with 2.5" mufflers.

I think I understood the response differently than that. 3 bar gives ECU/tunes more accurate boost reading. Higher boost tunes benefit even more from 3 bar. Probably wrong.

There is a 270 SM Flash, that’s meant/designed to run with the Stock muffler. Are you referring to a normal 270 flash, (that’s not a SM Flash), and running that with a Stock muffler?
