Hi!
I ran my stx with cotc with mbrp can and 2 shims 6-1 wrap. I saw 96 mph and hit the rev limiter. Yesterday just changed for 3-3 wrap and hit limiter at 1248 rpm.
Do I have to remove one shim or put more weights ?
And what is the best for the acceleration 3-3 wrap or 6-1? I'm nose to nose with 1200 doo
Shims help low and mid primarily, more shims better mid and quicker backshift. Less shims for top end. It is more of a pain but I would add weight and keep the shims because I like the mid range rip....but that is the part that is so easily set to your liking with this kit. Set it where you like it best, one of our Vipers has 6mm shim and other has 7mm shim but being mountain riders we put a premium on acceleration.

Hi folks !
This afternoon I tried remove one shim this with 3-3 wrap. It was on hard pack with me and my wife on the viper. It's weird.. I hit the limiter once again at 9288 and 94 mph. Wow ! It's seems always hangry and need more weight!
I will try 4.5 rivets and 4 or 5 shims ....my helix is dalton 45/39

Do you have any mods done to your sled? I'm running 4.5 in the tip with 3 shims and it still revs quite high. I went to a 45/41 helix but haven't had it out yet. I have the can and airbox mod. You should have no problem with 4.5 grams with that helix. I went back and read you had the can, Anyway don't be afraid to load the tip up. You can alway grind some off the rivet if its too much and if you have a scale.Hi folks !

No it is the excell cool air intake mode. You don't need a fuel controller for this.Do you have a fuel controller with our air box mod ? Is it Stingray's mod?

Ok Guys!
I ran this afternoon the CTOC with 4.5 gr on the tip and 2 shims. I went fast to 85..90 mph and did finaly 96 mph...stop another time by the rev limiter !?!!! 8 dn goes 3/8 inch below the top of the clutch.
It's weird ! Do I have to go with more weight or remove all the 2 shims ? My helix dalton 45/39 eats weight and shims for breakfast !

Add 3.2g to middle hole. Then you will be at the same point I was at the end of last year. The rev limiter is killing your top speed if you hit it you lose speed quick.
