I ordered a complete driveshaft online a few days ago and just received a email that it is on nationwide back order. Does anyone know where I can get one

Shows in stock.

May want to call to be sure.

Edit: My bad. You were looking for the complete assembly.
The complete assembly says "special order item" so probably the same deal here.

But it Does say, ships 3-4 days? Worth the call.

Why the replacements? Are driveshafts failing?

Not really failing but design flaw, which allows the bearing ( pressed in the brake caliper casting) to just slide on the driveshaft with a too loose fit, thus the bearing spins on shaft ruining shaft!

Not an easy one to find unless you are a DIY maintenance type, otherwise it may take some mileage to show itself and at that point probably damage on other end (chaincase) also.

hurricane performance is trying to keep the shafts in stock.

3 weeks ago, according to my dealer, there were over 700 on back order at factory.

I found one through arctic cat, I called first and the lady said they have it in the arctic cat warehouse. Hope it’s there. If not has anybody had luck with the aftermarket driveshafts? I remember a while back someone put up a bad review of black diamond extreme I think it broke with only a few miles.

The BDX steel shafts are fine. Weve put over 400 hp on them and launched at 10 pounds of boost .

Are the tolerances the same as stock or tighter

Thanks for the clarification.
