Sounds pretty good to me. That's about 2 grand less than a 2018 would have cost you.
A 2018 RTX LE 50th anniversary is 16,699. The 2018 LTX LE 50th is 200 bucks more at 16,899. So if you go by those numbers it's 4 thousand less than the top of the line '18 winders.

why not? Please explain what you are thinking. seems like a fair deal to me and I can just sell my trade outright when the snow flies.I wouldn't pay that for it.

That's not what your going to pay. You can get them for more that 2 grand off list price.A 2018 RTX LE 50th anniversary is 16,699. The 2018 LTX LE 50th is 200 bucks more at 16,899. So if you go by those numbers it's 4 thousand less than the top of the line '18 winders.
You can easily get a 2018 for under $15K. And $12,500 does seem a bit steep for used 2017 sled unless they put a bunch of money into upgrades that you would be spending money on.
Bone stock i wouldn't pay that much.

For the LTX-LE I think that's a darn good price.
Sure you can get SE's or DX's cheaper, but this is a LTX-LE with 5 years, fourth wheel kit and a mid shield as well. I had a buddy buy one this summer for a bit less, but had he not snapped it up, it would have sold 3 times over in less than a week from a few other guys I know. It lasted like 2 days on Craigslist here.
In MN we also do not pay sales tax on used sleds, so big savings there from new as well.

You gotta remember...these are 18 LE's and 50th anniversary models.. a little more rare and expensive than SE's and DX's. More than 2 grand off LE 50th models sounds a lil too much off in my opinion. But if you can find a 50th that somebody backed out of for more than 2 grand off, buy it!!!
I got a grand off my 18 LE 50th, and a 5 year warranty throw in for free, and I'm buying it in Maine and so being an out of state resident, I will not be paying any sales tax, so I'll be saving a decent chunk there.

I think that is a reasonable price, especially if the dealer will stand behind it for service reliably. If you could offer $11,900 would they even consider it? Is it studded?do you guys think that is a good price?

no he would not budge off the price. I went and seen it yesterday and it looks like new it is everything I wanted and the price fits my budget after I sell my sled and use the proceeds to refinance the loan I will be paying the same payment I have on my current sled or less. I did pull the trigger on it. I am happy with the deal and he sold me the few extras I wanted at cost.

I'm coming off an Apex and going into an 18 Sidewinder, so I'm hoping I'll love mine too come this winter.

I think you and the dealer got a pretty fair deal all around!
Bought my 2017 LTX-LE brand new last year, also with the 5 year warranty!Price was $15399 plus Maine tax.
Good dealer makes a huge difference to me, plus he did take my old sled in for trade... did not say I got a lot out of the old sled but total deal was fair. No steal on either side.
Your gonna love those shocks, and that heated seat on really cold days. Only the LE offers those.
Now the wait is on for snow huh?

Congrats on the purchase of the finest snow machine ever built to date! You will love it, and hopefully the Apex sells coming into winter. You got it for a good price and you got the top of the line LE model with the good shocks. Life is good!

Yes my 17 Sidewinder LTX-LE came from Woodys in Topsham.
John of Gary's Yamaha is also a great guy to do business with. And what a location for riding. That whole area is a test ground for sleds in Winter and same goes for SideBy Sides remainder of year. Such expansive and fast (if you want)trail systems. Wow Wow Wow...

I believe you did pretty good! Overall guys did really well on 18 spring power surge orders. I was at a dealer yesterday and he had an 18 50th LTX-LE on the showroom floor, the price was $15, 300 plus $550 for prep/documentation. That's only $1000 off MSRP and you get nothing in extra goodies, one year warranty only as well. Sitting next to the 50th was a 17 LTX-SE leftover, the blowout price was $11,500. with the same prep/document fee and only a 1 year warranty. Based off those numbers you did really well for a 17 LTX-LE (low miles) with the extra warranty and a few goodies.
