A very nice upgrade for the Attak / Apex is a set of Sylvania Silverstar headlight bulbs. They are SUPER BRIGHT white light. They are available at wall mart for $38.00 for a twin pak. Get the #9003 55watt/60watt pak for a perfect replacement. They are awesome!

The stock ones are fine, it's just that these are brighter big time. The reliability should be as good if not better than stock. just a higher quality bulb thats all.

Just a FYI slivers stars burn out quicker than normal lights do. It shouldn't be a problem with a sled as they are not on as much as a car thou. Might want to carry a spare somehow thou... Would suck to have both burn out at the same time.. Don't say it can't happen as my brother had both go on his Yukon at about the same time..

Keep an eye on ebay for them. I was able to get a set for my truck, sled and motorhome for $60.00 for all 6 I think I paid like only $6.00 for shipping too
PS I have had no failures on any vehicle.

Has anybody else noticed the problem with GM vehicles burning out there driving lights? I can't count how many I see on the road with one burned out. Maybe the same thing holds true with their headlamps :?SnowBandit said:Don't say it can't happen as my brother had both go on his Yukon at about the same time..

Funny you say that. I have noticed it a lot too. But I had 40,000+ on my last GMC with the orginal DRL in it. But for some reason the head lights I burnt out a few sliver stars with.. I will never drive without them thou.. Much cleaner light. Easier to see with.

GM Tail lights.?......Constantly blown on my brothers Duramax.
I use PIAA bulbs on my motorcycle and they are very good. A little pricy but white and bright

I have a 2001 GMC sierra and have had this problem also. I have had to replace quite a few electronic items. They are not cheap and its pissing me off.
