I need some help on why I am loosing coolant on my 2007 Apex Mountain. After only 100 miles both my reservoir and overflow tank are empty. I have filled them both 3 times now. Had the machine nose up by 4 feet to make sure I was getting antifreeze into the coolers. I see no obvious coolant leaks any where, no smell of burning antifreeze, no white smoke out the exhuast, no oil in the radiator, not anitfreeze in the oil either. No overheat light either... Heat exchangers are hot to touch.
HELP!!!

Inspect the exchangers under the floorboards. I've seen posts where they can crack and leak...very slowly over time.

If I find a leak in the rear crossover tube or heat exchanger, can I fix it with JB Weld?

Oil is fine. No frothing or indications of coolant in the oil.

I have fixed a heat exchanger with jb weld while there was collant on the sled still it was quite cold out someone left a tip up out ont the lake with no marker near it and no one around (jack wagon) it poked a hole in the side of the heat exchanger under the floor board. was in a pinch so i got some jb weld and i had to keep starting the sled to keep the exchanger warm so it would set but it did i figured i would pull it when i got home and have it welded but forgot to i ran that sled for 4000 miles like that and i bet someone else is still riding it that way i traded it in two years later. you will need to protect it so it dont happen again as well some rubber tube with some zip ties worked for me when i found mine almost worn thru there.

I'm going to pressurize the system to see if I can find a leak. Also am going to get a new radiator cap just to make sure that isn't the culprit. Machine is inside so it's good and warm if I need to JB weld a crack. Is there a particular JB weld product designed for aluminum?

When I first picked up my new to me Attak the coolant reservoir was empty. I filled it, then when checking it the next time it was once again empty. This time I raised the #*$&@ end of the sled so that the bleeder bolt on the rear crossover tube was higher than the reservoir tank & bled the air out & topped it up with coolant. Been perfect ever since.
Has your coolant been changed recently?

Coolant tank has been emptied out 3 times and each time I have have put in 1/2 gallon. How much does it hold on an apex?

Just over 6L of coolant, somewhere between 6.3 to 6.8L if memory serves me correct. Drained it once when installing coolant guage.

Well I think I have it figured out... hopefully. Found out my fan wasn't working so basically I was boiling the coolant out of the overflow tank out onto the ground when running at speed. To check to make sure I didn't have any leaks in the system, I would let it idle until it shut down and found no leaks... coolant was still full in both tanks. I would go out and run hard, it would then empty both tanks. I have a fan on order and will install it when it gets here and hope to have the issue resolved... Any one have any other ideas please let me know.

Have you checked to see if your fan is plugged into the sleds wiring harness? Mine was not and I have heard from others on this message board that the assembly line folks missed plugging in the fan and many units in 2006 and 2007.
See this thread:

Also, these fans dont break ususally, if it is plugged in, test the relay that feeds it power.
