Get one! That’s what it fixesMy issue is the low beams sit OK but the highs point into the trees.

I have been anxiously awaiting for Rock to release his Easy Adjust headlight kit for the Apex ever since they were released for the Vipers and Sidewinders. I also have his HIDs and I believe with his Easy Adjust kit, they make the HIDs that much better. One of the problems I found with adjusting the headlight prior to installing his kit was that even though you have the sled on a level ground and adjust the headlight beam where you want it, the beam can still be off. I believe one of the reasons, at least it was in my case, is that the headlight was adjusted while the sled was sitting still. What I found was that although the headlight beam might be where you want it while idling, once you get into the throttle and are maintaining cruising speed, the nose of the sled actually rises and causes the headlight to creep up and thereby throw off your previous adjustment. Sure, one can always disassemble the necessary parts to access that bolt but to do that out on the trail would not be ideal. By having Rock's Easy Adjust headlight kit, I am able to instantaneously make adjustments literally on the fly. As Rock mentioned, adjusting the headlight for changing conditions is also a very nice feature. Not only did I have to adjust the headlight during a snow squall one evening but I also found it useful the next evening when everyone else except the leader was fighting snow dust and where their low beams were pointed was not helping. A quick twist to adjust the headlight down was all that was needed and I was good to go.
Installation was very easy. The only step that took a little longer was making that crescent shape hole in the access panel for the adjusting rod to go through. I used a drill bit at an angle to make the first cut then ended up using a round precision file to ensure the hole was just snug enough and not too loose for the adjusting rod. What's nice with the rod he uses in his kit is that it is flexible. This is especially important if you have a tank bag like mine where you have to flip the top pouch out of the way to access the gas tank lid. Because the rod is flexible, I am able to easily move the end with the adjusting knob out of the way to either open or close this pouch. As for accessing the adjusting knob while in motion and also using a tank bag? Not a problem; and that is with the top pouch filled with stuff. The adjusting knob sits off to the right of my tank bag and I can easily make adjustments with my left hand while still on the throttle. You actually might be surprised at how often you will now adjust/tweak your headlights when using his kit; I know I was. So much so that I ordered another kit for my other Apex. I have stated this before but when a vendor (especially a vendor that supports this site) makes a product that simply works, it is very hard to justify NOT installing them on your other snowmobiles other than your primary sled. Just like with his handwarmer kit, they're on both Apex's. And his HID kit? They're on both Apex's. And now his Easy Adjust headlight kit? Well, you get the picture.
Thanks again Rock for another 'rock' solid product!
