Gets a bit trickier when you have a skid plate covering that hole in the tunnel.

I agree...a little section cut out would save a big pain in the butt later.

You cut that hole out of skidplate
I already cut the access hole for the filter and drain. I have no desire to cut another hole in the plate. I would much rather reach in flip a valve and have the oil drain into the same pan that the filter and sump are draining to.

Being the perfectionist that I am I have requested an alteration to the adapter.
I have what should be the final version of the adapter here any day now and will get the setup as well as the helix that I have on loan back to you shortly.

I have 3 here. One on my sled, one for you and one for Ulmer. Once I have approval of the design and fit and determine no need for further changes I'll get more made.

Is this the same thing you were working on with the valve and hose barb in this thread? http://ty4stroke.com/threads/viper-mess-free-oil-drain.135954/page-2 If so, I'm interested. That's the thread that made me set up an account here. What is the price going to be?

Same one.
We'll see what Tom and Allen have to say about the finished product. I'm just about finished with mine.

Remove the cover from bottom of sled and you can see filter. I think there is 4 or 5 screws in it.
Cover is #32 in link below.

Here you go. I have a accessory skid plate which I modded to make getting to access plate easy. Still same 4 screws.Ok I can see the oil drainage area, but what about the filter, where does it sit,and how much of a peta is it to remove?
When you look up into the hole created by panel removal this is what you see.
Dont get any easier than that. MNM Snowbeast this is for you!
