I'm pretty sure I have this figured out but please offer help where you can. Please tell me exactly what parts belong to which company:

Motor: Yamaha design, same on both
Clutching: Yamaha design, same on both
Front Susp: Cat, same on both
Rear Susp: Cat, same on both
Track: ?
Gauges: ?
Etc: ?

By the way, I was shocked and pissed off when I heard we were giving the Nytro motor away but my guess is that Yamaha has an even better engine ready for next year.

Cat using their own clutches, gauge is the same, I believe track options are different, although more things could change come production time, perhaps the skis and rails as they have cat appearance.

Tracks are the same...IMO everything's the same...including clutches (I know pre-production they have the Yamaha clutches) and cat says there using there clutch.

Lets look at this Cat says the motor is "+7000 C-TEC4â„¢ Engine" we call it the Nytro. It's the same motor!!!!

I bet just like the motor, the clutches will be the same....right now it's a marketing think (ie C-TEC4 vs Yamaha Genesis® engine)

I'm not sure about the clutches?????? The photo on the cat site sure made it look like a kitty clutch with larger cooling fins....... We will see. I think cat would be smart to stay with our yammie clutches. MM

Yamaha is using there clutchs ..and cat is using cat clutches cat refused to use yamaha clutches for one reason!!!!! Can you say "CASH COW" its $200 every time a belt goes there making ALOT of money.

Besides pre-prodution pictures I have not seen the true documented facts to this, for production reasons I don't see them using 2 different clutch setup... I bet that "new clutch" will be in BOTH the ZR7000 and the SRViper

Please correct me if I'm wrong

How Friggin hard do you think it would be to run Cats on the line one week with their clutches and then run Yamaha's with their clutches? It's not like they're spitting them out like Pez candies...I doubt they'd even have to stop the line? Boys make 2000 Cats then run Yamaha's...don't forget to use their clutches!

I see your posts on a lot of threads and it seems you want to stir the pot? Right now the glass is half full, let's see what comes out and if the blue ones have Cat clutching I'll be the first to say you were right.

I'd don't think I'm stirring the pot..... I'm just saying the way I see it....when the SRViper came out I said "Cat will have the same sled" and allot of people here said "no way" "Your bashing" blah blah.... and then a week latter...SAME basic sled!!!

All I'm saying is I believe the 2 sleds will have the SAME clutch...they may put there own marketing spin on it

Yamaha Genesis motor vs. Cat's 7000 C-TEC4 but we all know they are using the same Yamaha Genesis motor, Cat calls it a C-TEC4) SAME

Yamaha says the front suspension is "SRV" and Cat says "Arctic Race Front Suspension" SAME!

Rear, Yamaha says "Dual Shock SR 137", Cat says "Slide-Action Rear Suspension" SAME

If i'm wrong I'll be the first to say it!...but until then I'll stand by my statement that the 2 sleds are the same!

What's wrong with them being the same? I don't understand why you are so quick to bash and stir the pot on the subject when you have obviously made it clear you weren't buying this machine, or any other machine without power steering... Which is so close minded and ridiculous.

Nothing's wrong, but everyone saying our will have Yamaha Clutch's and Cat will have their own clutches ...I'm just saying I don't believe that to be true....Search all of TY and I NEVER ever bashed the sled....
