extra wheels

Same thing here. For only 800 miles on my sled my slides are worn significantly and they didn't start wearing until around the 500 mile mark but once they started they went fast. Put one set of wheels on and they helped so putting the second set on and trying it out Thursday. Dupont a should be on by the weekend. Could just be speculation but with the 4th wheel kit and 4 extra wheels in the skid this should make the chassis perform much better. Duponts aren't necessary if your slides are still good but mine are worn bad and want to start with a fresh set with all the wheels in there. I gained 6 mph just by adding the 1 set of extra wheels and another 6 mph by loosening suspension up all the way. A few days ago the sled would only hit 85mph no matter what the condition. Extra wheels and softened up suspension as much as I could and hit 97 today in 1000'. Still felt a little drag so there is more speed to be had.

Ya I feel a definite stick there. With all the wheels and duponts on there I should feel the difference. I don't know about the loose set up. That would hurt me for the jumps that I hit. So I'm ok with a little top speed loss. The turbo should pick up the slack on that! :-o

Mine with the 1.6 lug ice ripper is every one.

If it's every one that would make it stick even more....right?

That's what I was thinking. That's why I got 4 wheels and the four wheel kit. And duponts. That should work out just great! Now I can race a GTR! :-o

Is anyone seeing the slides wearing hard on the fronts of the rails? I'm noticing that on mine but haven't seen any wheel kits yet for that area. If the rear suspension was a little softer that would certainly help but would like to get some wheels in that area if possible

The wheel kit must be #6639-184.. all the parts guys I talk to dont know anything. 2 sets of them should help

I'm going to put some wheels on the bar that has the limiter straps. That should help. Or just a thought maybe the marginal wheel kit from Yamaha would work it the front. Again just a thought.

If I can't find a true bolt on kit from cat then I'll play around with the yamaha kit. Just don't want to get into drilling holes just yet if there is a kit out there for it. Wheels on that front shaft is a good idea. If you do end up doing something like that Tim, I'd love to gets some pics and info on how you did it

For sure. I'm going to get them tomorrow. The wheels on that bar with the straps I'm going to order from wahl bros. they should have a kit that's made for the pro cross chassis. I'll call them tomorrow and see. Then I'll let you know. And once I get them in ill take a picture of all the wheels in my skid. Should be like a hundred...lol
