Has anyone had to add extra wheels on their XTX skid? I just picked up a 14 XTX, first Yamaha, just wondering how these are for hyfax wear? Will probably put a 4th wheel kit on and was thinking of adding a set at front of skid, anyone done this?

Mines at 1,400 miles with the factory slides a still have quite a bit of life left, the most worn section is flat area in front of the middle idlers (ones that hug the rear shock) No where near the wear in the front curve like other Yamaha’s I’ve had. As far as I’m concerned, a set of Duponts after the stockers are shot and it should be good for 5000+ miles with no extra wheels.

Do you ride lots of groomed trails or off trail?

Mostly trail so far, haven’t really gotten enough snow for off-trail excursions. I’d consider myself a 60/40 rider usually but so far it’s been 90/10 on the Viper.
