I liked it but had to switch back to stock last thursday. No issues in morning when trails were setup but once the trails got mushy when doing long wideopen runs the tunnel was packing up with snow so heat exchanger was not enough. Got warning light and went into limp mode. Fan was running whole time but at those speeds was just fighting the air being forced in. Switched fan back to stock and never had a issue running the same stretch again.

Maybe a switch would be the ultimate trick? Reverse when stationary?

Yes that would work. Was nice being able to warm hand with the air coming out and totally took care of steam issues. Great idea. Maybe one of vendors will make up a harness and switch?
I was doing around 100mph at time. So lower speeds its also not a issue.

We had sleds got hot with fan running on ice at Lands End going slow, wouldn't call the system bad for hitting limits in certain areas certain days.

Mine wouldn't do 100mph but ran wide open at Muni in spring slushy crap and no issues.
I'm thinking that was just a fluke. That fan isn't doing much regardless of direction of air flow and at 100 mph I'm sure mother nature is winning the battle.

I wasnt on Ice it was snow. But it still completely covered whole inside of tunnel. Scratchers would do nothing. We had sleds got hot with fan running on ice at Lands End going slow, wouldn't call the system bad for hitting limits in certain areas certain days.
It never had a problem in same spot same conditions 3 minutes later with fan stock direction. 3 more runs same distance.Mine wouldn't do 100mph but ran wide open at Muni in spring slushy crap and no issues.

I can't imagine why you would want the fan to run backwards when stationary? Then again I'm a trail rider and have never had a steaming issue so no reason to reverse the fan at all. If my fan needs to run I'd rather have cold air blown on my radiator.

I have said that before and got flamed for it but you are absolutely right.
