First Impressions - SR-Vipers

I haven't been this excited for a new sled in a very long time! This sled is absolutely awesome, best of both worlds, looks and power. And a place for a bag? Push button reverse? I'm so sold but what to do with my brand new 12 Nytro RTX? And I have a major decision to make. Red or Blue? Not sure if I will be able to keep up with bleaching the white tunnel. It may drive me crazy at every stop.

Personally I'm disappointed. Some of the reasons are the ones that you listed. The cat chassis is not the end of the world for me, I too like them. The lack of a mountain sled and a turbo are a real let down. But the biggest let down is I have heard the sled is going to be built in TRF.

So we have a cat chassis, built in TRF and no turbo. Or I could buy a AC ProClimb High Country Turbo which is a cat chassis, built in TRF with a Turbo. Is the Yamaha engine and clutching enough to win me over? I'm not sure.

Where are the tuner skis that Yamaha just developed? would be the biggest issue.... then the best led tail light in the industry is missing yet

And i also agree that i need to ride one before i can judge it

Love the looks of the A/C and new Viper! Not to happy about the white tunnel...will be a bugger to keep clean.

Can't wait to have some luggage space! Would like to see those new ski's on there. COBRA 1.6 TRACK!!!! Yahoo!!!

Hopefully Yamaha kept its clutching and chaincase. A/C has major problems with blowing belts and that electric push button reverse.

I am so so glad to see that The clutches on this machine are yamahas!!!! That was a big concern of mine..... Now all I can do it wait to see how many goodies from my ntryo I can change over.... Maybe the ported and polished head hat has been shaved

All i can say is I am very disappointed
1)not turbo or sc
2)cat silhouetted skis (thats embarrassing)
3)cheap looking gauges (like old ones better look fast lol)
4)going to called the copy cat by everyone I know
5)no tuner skis (I thought this would be a no brainer to have these)
6) no industry first OR game changing tech
7)built in TRF
8) more expensive than the cat ($1600 more than 1100 PC XF and $400 more then the PC XF 800), they need to get into the market again by reducing prices

I am sorry but yamaha, but I just got to finally walk away and shake my head even though all i've owned is pretty much yamaha.

I'm disappointed. The main reason i have a yamaha is because of how reliable their sleds are and unless arctic cat fixed all the issues with the pro cross chassis since last year this sleds going to hurt yamahas reputation...

Thoughts:

Better engine cooling with the Procross chassis than any current Yam chassis'

Ergos, handling should be better.

Looks like a unique gauge package (different from Cat)

Dont like the elect. actuated mechanical reverse. (just something to go wrong - Cat still having issues here)

Nice looking sleds, but is the quality up to Yam standards....stay tuned.

What are the problems with the pro cross chassis? I have heard ZERO it was all engine and drivetrain related all of which is now yammie.

Where are the chassis failing?

I think yamaha and cat were in on the procross chassis in the begging cause in one of their vids it says "weve been working for a long time..."
