First Oil Change

Changed the oil last night. 600 miles on the sled.

Wasn't too bad. Draining the oil from the oil tank is a bit of a pain.

The oil filter was on super tight. And when I removed the oil filter the rubber seal stayed on the engine.
Something to keep an eye on when changing the oil.

Two things that caught my eye. Both the oil pan drain plug and oil tank drain plug were not
as tight as I thought they should be. I have changed many Yamaha's oil.
Both my Attak and Nytro first time oil changes. The drain plugs were way tighter.

Just did mine last night as well, found the exact same thing, oil drain plug wasn't as tight as I thought it should be, and the oil filter was really tight, and the o-ring stayed on the block when the filter came off.... And definitely is a PIA to drain the oil, no real nice way to drain it without getting it everywhere. Wish I had my form your own funnel from work, that's about the only thing I can see working decent without a huge mess

Ok ! I get it now !
I read that in the manual and was like " how the hell I'm I going to get a funnel in there " I like that idea !

It drains nice and very easy to get a Gear Wrench in there to remove bolt.

Did mine already and I thought it is a lot easier than my RX –1 no removing battery , air box and having the oil go all over the bottom of your sled. I think this is easier.

Lol didn't even think of using a bottle and cutting it open! that was definitely the worst part was cleaning up the oil but it was my own fault... Only other PIA was getting the filter off mainly because I had to pull the skid plate off to get at it
