I am taking our Viper to the demo ride this weekend in South Dakota if all goes well and hope to run our Viper against the new 2015 if they will allow it. Would be fun to run my setup against the 2015 version and see for sure.

So you don't think yamaha knows about this setup ?

I think you are going to find there's is very similar to yours !

Actually I checked it out on the demo 2015 MTX LE at the Denver snow show last Tuesday and no its not. Still running 8JP and primary had blue-white-blue. But note that these are really prototypes as nobody I know of has any idea what the final clutching will be on production. Please stop trying to bad mouth this like you did the 8DN belt as I suspect you will end the same way. Thanks!

Why not try a 45/39 helix and WH- WH secondary spring ....?

NOS-PRO did that testing so I will let him answer. But like I said I was concerned with stopping the belt slipping first everything else later. If you improve on this please do post results.

I tried a white spring, green spring, silver spring and a black spring.....went back to pink. I don't really like the pink....but its working until I find something better.

Well the race wasn't apples to apples any way, an uncoupled rear with 1.6" track will hole shot a lot of sleds, vs a shorty nytro. I'd like to see a longer race please.

I used my Nytro to judge where and what improvements were being made. My nytro being picked, launches hard with the Viper. Through these last 4 months, the Nytro and Viper were always neck and neck on take off. I'm not talking about a couple runs...I'm talking a major amount of runs. Hell, last Friday night alone was 18 times racing against the Nytro as I tried a different belt. Saturday morning was another 10-12, each time going back to the trailer to change things. I have so many races on the helmet cam, but its only showing a snowy trail and headlights up in the trees....that is why I put him in front 4 lengths to show....and yes, that video was the best I had. Other videos were full of snowdust from off trail.

Trust me, I wish I had a whole camera crew with me, plus...this is a trail used by others and I am lucky we got the footage we did. Not trying to bring up excuses at all and not negative....I want to have better footage also. My wish would be to have a camera on the sled looking back, looking on the side, seeing how the suspension is working and truthfully..1 inside by the clutching.

Perhaps a roll on, and a longer race, next time when you're testing?

Done that many times....Viper pulls the Nytro 2 lengths easy

See what I can do with video camera

Check out this webcam at my favorite riding place. 800 square miles of this! Went last Thanksgiving to three feet of new snow and looks to be rideable till end of April.

I've been out to that area several times. Hopefully riding some day. Drive from NY to Denver then head south at Glenwood Springs through Carbondale, Paonia, to Hotchkiss. Then into the West Elk Wilderness. Beautiful area.
