This was a mtx with a 38in. front end, I installed a 42in wide front end but kept the mtx spindles, not sure if that matters or not.

I'd remove the caps and flip sides so the canister is pointed in the other direction to see if that clears. On the Float 3 the EVOLs are on top and point forward.

Rear. Check the suspension threads, I documented my install. The most onteresting thing is that SOME RC2s have the canister offset like that and rub, while some do not. It won't be an issue for you, I personally saw new Cats on the floor with the rub.
If you find my thread I have settings listed as well, from Flybyu. They were awesome settings out of the gate, just needed to soften them.

I'll guess he can't. The other chamber will hit the side of the sled if you flip them around. They only fit on one way. They are installed on the wrong side swap them you'll be fine
Pretty sure the OP put it away for the summer and could care less right now anyways. Or so it seems.
Then he has the wrong ones cause the upper chamber is supposed to be centered the lower chamber is off center for that reason. when the idiot (me) installed mine the first year I did not notice it till I set it on the floor then had to jack it back up and swap them. GRRRRR. They are no labeled for us uh challenged individuals.
and I don't mean flip them he has the right shock on the left and the left shock on the right!

The EVOL kit comes with new shock caps that the canisters screw on to . There is a left and right cap which offset the canister so they have proper clearance when installed. The caps need to be swapped between the left and right shock so the canisters face away from the tie rods.

He pm'ed me last week and yes simply swapping the right to the left fixed his clearance issue with tierod since evol is offset from center. So all is good.
