2009 Phazer MTX
My experience also, I'm so use to the need to ride up on the tank to make my Phazer turn so its second nature. 3 Turns from loose with the stingray spring and SLP Powder Pro skis up front. I'd much rather ride up on the tank to nail a corner then have to stand and plant my feet on the back of the boards to "lift" the front over trail junk. It's all about personal tastes and I think Yamaha wanted to make SURE the front stayed glued down to get better "ride reviews" from the magazine. With this spring and the limiter strap in the third hole I am able to drive power on thru corners with a 1.75 track and SLP Mohawk skis.
Get forward on the seat and stick your inside knee towards the spindle and she lays flat thru the corners also. Enjoy!

"steering is very hard"Is there an artic cat spring that is better than the stock front shock spring on my ltx.reason I ask as I have a dealer close to me.steering is very hard.
Hard steering by itself can be a combination of adjustments. Any adjustment that causes higher front ski pressure could result in "hard steering".
I would start with a properly adjusted ride height, front and back then move to ski alignment. Next I would look at the center shock and limiter straps. Limiter straps pulled in could contribute to the steering issue. Carbide size and type will also have a huge affect on ease of steering. Under acceleration your steering should become very light indicating your pivot and transfer to the rear skid.
Your center shock might be only part of the problem, make sure you don't have others. GL

I have Bill's spring in my RTX. It steers a little lighter and seems to transfer a little quicker. My factory spring was too soft.
My Dad has the Raptor triple rate spring in his LTX. It rides smoother than mine, but I can't speak about steering effort. He has the BOP MPS kit. His LTX has very little transfer, which is probably more due to geometry than center shock spring.

Does your dad feel the steering kit works ? or at least help reduce effort? my wife is 61 and is installing one on her viper as she has a shoulder prob and that pig is getting heavy in the twisties at this age, lol

I put MPS on my daughter’s 2016 Viper and it made it so much easier for her to steer. She was 15 when she started with it.

BOP kit will make a big difference in effort. Most of my group has his kit (5 total). We stay with the OEM steering rods with BOP plates attached to the spindles. Just can't utilize the third hole with OEM steering rods. With that said there's more to easier steering than just a mechanical assist product. You have one of the best suspension guys right in your back yard. Our entire group uses Accelerated Technologies for suspension set up and that by far has had a bigger impact on steering effort and a 100% improved ride quality over anything else we have done. It would be worth a call.Does your dad feel the steering kit works ? or at least help reduce effort? my wife is 61 and is installing one on her viper as she has a shoulder prob and that pig is getting heavy in the twisties at this age, lol

Hey thanks, ya we use John too. We have for a while for both our street bikes and our sleds. She has an appt to get the suspension set up beginning of the year but she wanted to put her snow trackers and BOP steering on before it got up there. She's 61 and having a shoulder issue making it tough to steer in the twisties, lol. She's out there putting it on now but I was just curious what people thought about it.
