Only have 44 miles on ER thus far, snow condition suck. Filled tank back up today and took 4 gallons. Sure hope this is due to break-in and better numbers to come. Love the sled once I shimmed the skis to stop the darting. Have Bergstrom Ugly kit coming, but will use the OEM until worn. In our current conditions won't take long.

Same here, i didn't see over 12 mpg but i am still under 100 miles.

Friend with an Appex gets about 2 MPG less then I get with my 2005 RX-1. I thought with the EFI, that he would get better, but it looks like the EFI sleds will give you less MPG. :o|

iasledder What does the ugly kit consist of and does it solve darting with out sacraficing ski bite like the dualies. kviper

I got consistent 13.5 MPG on packed trails last weekend (250 miles). My sled has 350 miles on it. My buddy with a '05 RX1 got closer to 15 MPG.

Just checked my vector today................ 18.5 mpg.. Last year on a long trip I got 19.2..I think the 150 hp machines should get 15 when broken-in and run on good trails.. MM. ;)!

I don't think it has a whole lot to do with the EFI. I think it's because your friends Apex has about 20 more ponies than your RX1 and if he's like me he uses all of them, all the time. I got 12.6 MPG on my first tank (only 150 miles on sled) After riding this thing one time and feeling that pure power between the legs you quickly lose interest in what kind of mileage you're gettting.

Attak, last weekend:

powder riding, and messing around - 13.2

groomed trail without a lot of bumps - 15.7

groomed trail, and pinned for washboard - 15.1

Last weekend I did 74 miles on Friday night and took 4.2 gal my buddy on his pro X 700 took 8 gal. I was just getting to the 500 mile mark. rode aver 100 miles on Saturday and will never know how much fuel it used - totalled it at 4 pm on the way to the gas station. But I'll bet it was in the 15+ mpg point.
