I have 2014 viper ltx. Over the weekend we got pounded with 30+ inches of snow. Went out riding and was plowing snow literally with with headlight just about. A few miles in I notice sled losing power somewhat. Stop clean out all vents and what not, take off and make it a half mile and dies. Turn key forward and I was getting multiple codes, after sitting about half an hour the codes go away and sled starts but ran like crap, popping and stuttering. No codes flashing when running only when key turned forward. Get it home and into garage to dry out, unplug connectors and dielectric grease them all. Sled runs and codes are gone but running rough still with a lot of popping and stuttering. All updates have been done to sled. Running like it has water in the gas...

Or water in the intake. You may have ingested enough snow that it was able to get by the snow screens. Pull the upper pod and the air box off and see if you see moisture.

I heard that the gas tank breather sometimes will pick up snow dust and water, I see it’s routed right to the belly pan

As I recall it’s not that hard to remove the fuel tank. Empty the fuel tank out in to a clean 5 gallon bucket. (Or two) Slowly pour the fuel back off into the tank and look for water standing in the bottom of the bucket. Gas and water do not mix. The water is heavier so it will remain at the bottom. If there is water it will be clearly visible as you get down towards the bottom.

This is what I thinking’s going on, how easy is air box to come off?

I think it’s probably a fouled spark plug at this point.

Plugs were just changed last week and I checked the tonight, like new still

Well it takes a lot of water in fuel to stop our sleds. Filled tank twice and had 2strokes that filled same pump shutdown. Viper just runs fine.

Not yet, I have all panels off and in garage. Will be taking air box off this afternoon and checking for moisture in there. I’m stumped

If you don't find an issue with air box or the fuel it may be worth doing a compression test. There's also been several recent reports of slipped reluctor rings on the primary's stub shaft so that may be worth looking at to eliminate it as the cause.

Ok, layman terms, lol. Might be blown up???

I wouldn't think the worst just yet. You need to do the basic checks to start eliminating possible causes.

You can usually tell if one cylinder is not firing by putting hand by the corresponding pipe. Or with it running pull one coil power wire at a time. Could be a coil that is shorting from moisture?

My 15 got water inside the ECM it caused a miss and never set any codes water got in around the weather pack conector. Installed a new ECM and no more problems , took the cover off the old ECM and found it full of water droplets
