Hello everyone, I have a 2017 Yamaha btx me with 1500 miles on it now and had my oil changed at the beginning of the season and I’ve Checked the oil last trip when we stopped to get food and it was full to the top of the hose. Then when I
Checked after I got back home and it was the same so I let it cool down and started it back up until the temp light went off and it went back down to the max level. Coolent levels stay the same and oil don’t look milky to me. Any input on if that’s normal or what I should do is greatly appreciated.

But when I let it cool down and then start it back up it goes right back down to the max level. Would it still be overfilled? Trying to upload pictures but it’s not letting me.

So when I got back home today the hose was full then let it cool down and came back like 15-20min later and it was still full but then when I started it it went down to the max level.

I recently asked my dealer about the procedure for checking oil level.
1) Run machine for a few minutes.
2) Let sit for a few minutes then check oil level.
3) Target level when following this procedure is 25% above the lower line.

My thoughts looking at his picture is over full for sure because that would be way over the 25% of the bottom line

Oil wouldn’t look like that if it had coolent in it right? What do you think the foam part on top is?

If it is overfilled it will suck the excess through the intake. Won't hurt anything but you appear to be overfilled. On mine cold is below the low Mark on the tube. Once warmed up it gets above the low Mark a little. Take a little out if it makes you feel better. If you just leave it alone it will get to where it wants to be.

When the sled is running the oil is circulating and foams up a little. Mine does this also. After sitting for a few minutes it levels out again.
