Here's a question that hasn't been asked...is the SW a trail sled or just a rocket!

I agree the Sidewinder in all stock, including settings feels heavy in the steering dept. But, this can be addressed easily with set up. Not to mention conditions (hard pack vs loose snow) on trails. I only turned the front and center shocks and it is a huge improvement, even with crap tuners. I may replace those next year, but no need to for now. I have an apex and vector too. I prefer the sidewinder (which is a 137 btw.)

The Tuners would be GONE! Center track shock valving and spring could be key to getting how I'd like it. But if there's only one spring option for the center track shock, it's a waste of time.

Not as of Now ! but they closed them to save them . If we get the 3" + they are calling for they might open them up! Lockburner your invited . We could all go back to Plover and go for a ride. Lots of room in the Finished basement or my Brother lives next door and has a spare room also. And you could try his 1200 with the snowtrackers.

I meant bring his sled to Trade it in!!!!!!!! ;)

The power steering vector is a treat to drive, and I wouldn't say a Sidewinder would be a better trail sled, but I can say the sidewinder front end is way better and the biggest difference between the 2 is on the Sidewinder your sitting position is way better, your sitting higher and it just doesn't seam to wear on your back like a vector as it seams like on the vector you put more pressure on your back being could I say hunched over more when driving.

What are your suspension settings ? If you dont mind sharing.
1)Let the limiter straps out to the last hole. As long as you can make them.
2)Took the transfer blocks off. (Although I may put mine back on. I put electrical tape around the bar to see if there was contact there after seeing how tight the straps were with the sled just sitting on the ground. I hammered on the throttle a dozen times and checked the tape only to see it barely compressed. )
3) Center shock spring tightened down to the middle of the threads
4) all clickers on one.
5) front coils are adjusted as light as you can get them without getting any roll or ski lift. (Sorry, I was going to put the calipers on them and didn't get the chance)
6) torsion blocks on one for now.

I haven't played with rebound yet because it felt pretty good like it was right on the edge, so I couldn't tell you what it is set at.

Cool, thanks.

Im still dialing in my Winder but I just rode quite a bit of twisty Quebec trails with 3 short tracks. I'm running 2016 MTX skis and semi aggressive Snowtrackers. Didn't take the time to install the Racewerx adjusters or remove the blocks but I need more ski pressure And/or aggressive Snowtrackers. Not sure if it is the ski rubbers, the Snowtrackers or the set up from the dealer but my steering is very light and too much understeer. Even so, to me the Winder is a great trail sled and rides way better than my previous sleds. I especially could blast moguled trails faster than the other sleds. I wasted the '13 Apex Se from start and roll on the lakes and had more top end. I also was able to ride deeper snow off trail that I wouldn't dream of on my Attak. My friend on the 13 SE is a very fast rider and I can't loose him yet with my understeer but once I solve that he might have a hard time keeping up.

ActionJack, did you try tightening the front ski coils yet. You should be able to get plenty on them without messing with the skid.
That is, once it's transferring properly

The only thing I tried while on the trip was setting the torsion for more ski pressure. Cant say I have excess body roll but I don't want to add any either. In reality I'd like to be able to pull the skis a little better but at the same time more ski bite. Ski bite takes precedence over wheelie-ing though.
