2014 Nytro XTX 1.75
I was informed by a Yamaha Dealer that if I am going to be riding my Nytro XTX 1.75 in higher elevations such as Montana, Idaho and Wyoming, I will need to change the gearing to part # 8FA-17682-90. Can anyone advise? I believe that part number is for a 19T gear

I put a 20t gear in my 2010 xtx 1.75 and it worked great in the mountains. You will want to change the weights to make it rev properly at elevation. Without the weight change my sled only revved to about 7000rpm at 6000'

I also have 20T gear and I have no problem with it. I'm heading out to Wyoming in a couple weeks. If you need to know what weights and springs to use I got that.
