Hot starting or not starting

I just got my follow up call from Yamaha (thanks for purchasing, how do you like it?, etc). When I mentioned the hot start issue she had no idea what I was talking about, did some typing, and said she had nothing in the system about this issue.

:dunno:

Had the same thing 3 years ago on my Honda Fury motorcycle. Hot start issue with untold amount of bikes and Honda never really admitted to it but replaced a boatload of fuel pumps under warranty. Hope Yamaha is more forthcoming.........

Mine is starting well again.

I have been waiting for the fuel pump to cycle and then turn the key until it starts.

A buddy was going to ride it and messed up the start up somehow.

Didn't think it was going to start.

I read from someone on here that they would crank with the kill swich off and then flick it to the on position. Worked like a charm.
