How many former Boosted apex owners in here?

I crashed my prized apex last week and it will be a total loss. I actually have enough parts to put together almost any apex you could dream up (twin charged with MPI stage one feeding large impulse turbo, etc) but I am on the fence about the time and effort. Remember I had the ZX2, custom front suspemsion, MPI super charger, then Impulse race kit. There isn't a lot of stock problems left. The ZX2 would outrun most anything in the trails so I'm worried about a step backwards with the new yammie winder skid. I had the weight balance stuff done this year (rear garage thread if your interested in that) so it wasn't a big heavy pig at 640lbs will fuel ready to ride. I had 130lbs on each from ski and it was the most playful sled I ever had in tight trails. Lift the skis at 95mph all the way to 140mph. INSANE!

Is there anyone in here that would say YES DEFINITELY build that 2nd apex and forget the winder or should I just pat the grave and bring flowers annually for the apex and move on? Please only respond if you can compare to a boosted apex, as they are gods gift of power to sled heads! :)

Thanks all!
I think it boils down to cost. If you had to start over, sidewinder is the latest and greatest, so to build a monster this is the way to go. However, you state you have enough parts to build another apex. Apex parts are depreciating so repair it and keep it. Then go out and get a winder!!;)

If it was me i would build another boosted apex ya can't beat the power u can make and i don't think the winders will hold up to the apex chassis , in fact i know they won't
I own both and I’ll tell you the Winder will hold up better than the Apex.
Any Apexes ever finish Cain’s Quest? Or even attempted to start it for that matter? LOL.

Kinger sorry to hear of that sled being lost.
