My sled doesn't over rev and hit the limiter, it engages at 4000 which seems a little high?
My primary weights have all the holes loaded with rivet weights, the primary spring is black with a yellow and red and silver dot

Completely stock. It definitely made it worse, I didn't make it 20 miles babying it and started to kill another belt
i have experienced the exact same thing....i ended up going back to stock offset and all good again. i also put a black orange dalton spring in.

So I pulled my clutch cover and checked parralism all good I double checked my off set I am right ar 61mm. It looks like the secondary sets back and pulls the belt in towards the motor ( making a dog leg) just to see I pulled out the c clip( I dont have any washers) on the bearing and took another look. It is definitely dog legging the belt into the motor side hard. I am waiting for 1mm shims to get here on Wednesday and I'll start shimming it out 1mm at a time and see if it helps

mine did the exact same thing.....only wore one side of the belt on the inside.....i think it only does it on the mountain sleds in the deep snow...one belt on mine was completely wore through the kevlar after 25km on riding. Put the offset back to where it came out of the crate at and the belt still looks new. One of the other mtx in my riding group has experienced the same thing. Extreme belt wear on only one side of the belt on the inside. The wear is as if the secondary was too close to the engine.

The belt is going to and should have a dogleg in towards the secondary at idle. They line up when 1:1,
Line up at an idle will be wrong offset at 1:1.
Some people. If you don’t understand how clutches work should not be posting. Pictures being show have tight deflection issues, not line up issues. You have to line up at 1:1 or full shift where belt rides most of the time, unless you sit and idle all day, or let off coasting with the belt going around the post on the post all day going downhill.

Lol. That is an alignment issue!!!Some people should come ride in the mountains where there is max stress instead of trails. Weird that I put back to stock and it’s fine.

So are you saying the info you are supplying and Dave is supplying will not work for the guys in the Mountains or off trail riding that have belt issues? To me it makes sense as the belt slips and gets heating fast when on and off hard throttle at lower RPMS all the time in the deep snow.

I live in north idaho and mainly ride the trees. I dont claim to be a clutching expert but I do know alignment, it's what I do for work. I also know that on my last ride I moved my secondary in .060 like the tool I bought said to. It made my problem worse. So I put it back out to where it was stock and the clutches were cooler. It is still doglegged into the motor on the secondary. I have checked everything, nothing else shows bad. So on Friday I am gonna take it out and start shimming it out 1mm at a time and see if it eliminates my issue.

Why not.. like I said it may not be the same for High Speed Trail Riding verse MTN riding as the belts will live in a different spot on the clutch when riding.

My top speed is 50 mph(track speed) when I'm riding. Even riding out on the trail that is damn near my speed, I might hit 60 here and there
