Jeez newtron I sure hope that's not the case! Unfortunately i do have snow but can't ride now because of this!

I'm not sure what happened but what a sh*$ show. I could post pictures of what it looked like but it would make you cry. They had the engine out of it on the work bench

How did it go from starter gears breaking to throwing the timing off?

Now, when I start the engine, I turn the key and I don't release it until the engine fire up and run. Just to avoid the kick back...

ya I just keep cranking till it starts. Not sure about the timing, but Yamaha came good for everything. Starter, ring gear, timing chain etc etc...
happens again I would have to try something else....season too short for that

So what all happened to the turbo stuff? Did you switch it all over to the new sled?

yep. They first though turbo was problem but too many stock sleds having same problem

ya keep us posted. They need to drain the oil pan. The chunks will be in there....no where else to go

So engine definitely needs to be pulled for that?

my uncle did his nytro himself. drained the oil and slid a magnet arround the pan with a wire on it. never removed the motor (out of warranty) no issues after that . but if it were me i would have the dealer go through it all. i have warranty though.

I guess. They found chunks on the magneto side and some in the oil pan

I'm not sure if the 2015 have the same issue? I hope it will be fix!
