Hurricane turbo intake upgrade

Something doesn't look right to me. That molded half-moon shaped indent is where steering post goes. Did you cut the tube correctly (correct lenth) before installing it? Mine fits great with no problem like that.

Yup followed the instructions. In my picture the steering post is swung over to the left and not in its final assembled position. When it is it lines up with the relief for the steering post.

You can’t really see this on the intake until u take it out and look at it. I was checking my clamps on the throttle bodies to make sure they were tight when I noticed it

Anyone else seeing this. The coolant hose / fitting above the intake tube seems to be interfering with the turbo inlet. I was worried it may rub thru. I ended up heating it up with a heat gun and molding a dent in the inlet for clearance. Gonna keep an eye on it.

All you needed to do was slide the clamp on the hose back a ways and cut the hose there for a better fit. You can see the bump on the end of the hard water line where the end is, go back to there with the clamp and cut the hose behind for clearance.

Hate to say it, but you just cost yourself any HP gain you may have had with that god awful bump I'm afraid. Kinks or bumps in air flow tubes are killer and its bad enough the steering post dent needs to be there in the first place.

there is already bumps molded into the part to clear the steering post. Dave said it won’t hurt anything. I was just worried it might wear thru. I smoothed it out quite a bit from what the picture shows with a heat gun. Everything seemed to fit very nicely when I installed it
