I need help SW down again losing coolant 550 miles - *FIXED* fingers crossed

I wish the sidewinder had the cast side plates to house the drivetrain like in the apex or nytro chassis.
Looks like crracing did a vipex with their own bullet side plates.

The Vipex kit is too expensive although brilliantly engineered and executed. My idea? I'm taking the front end of the side winder and mating it to the Apex die cast! This will be the perfect use of my spare crashed apex frame to RnD on and then I have a OEM spec chassis apex and Sidewinder side by side to measure and compare to make sure I understand the oem Geometry and not screw it up. Just eyeballing right now and with a tape measure it appears it may work! Si-pex? King-Pex?Not sure yet! haha!

Yes just got a call, its been heat cycled 5 times, pressure tested the coolant and nothing moved. The head and block were both flat and required no machining. They went back to stock head bolts as Yamaha wanted pictures. Yammie also covered a new intercooler as it had sludge in it. Going to pick it up head north till I hit snow and pound on it and see if she holds together, I want at least one successful run before parking it for summer and selling it.

Well were you able to pick up your sled and go find snow? Care to give us your results ?

No snow anywhere unless I drive to the north pole lol. So no, its still at the dealer. Hoping for a spring snow storm now.

Yeah, we're in the same boat here in central MN. Winter already ended. Temps were 50-60+ last weekend. All this week 40's. Even up north what snow is left is all slush. Winter gets shorter and shorter every year.

No speed limits here and don't worry, that muffler will be cherry red within 5 minutes of hitting the trail.

If you are talking riding Maine and you want the best trails that are Bigger then your sleds Hp, it better be the county, because nothing else compares in Maine period!

Stock muffler tunes are the smart way to go up here though, I have been fortunate so far!
